Our world is full of skepticism.. Everyday there is new scientific discovery and we start to question and form doubts about religion. Has science disproven Christ?? Can we take the Bible seriously?? The list goes on and on into a tangle of faith and suspicion.

The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism by Timothy Keller can help both believers and skeptics. Keller aims to remain civil and respectful while he explains his arguments.. Honestly, I would refer to them more as persuasions. He seems to understand that people will always have their doubts about God and Christianity.. I liked how we was willing to consider both sides of the fence when it comes to arguing for and against God..

Believers will find a new strength through the words in this book.. It is also a great tool to use when you try to defend your religion. You will be able to counter all of the arguments from your taunters..

People are always asking these questions.. Is it possible to only have one God?? Why should we believe in God?? Does Christianity cause pain??

At the beginning of the book Keller addresses all of these arguments and then he gives his case for God for the remainder of the book.

Although The Reason for God is apologetic and defends the existence of God, it shows that if you wear those glasses you will see that Christians have a consistent view of a loving God.

I particularly enjoyed the following quotation.

“I ask you to put on Christianity like a pair of spectacles and look at the world with it. See what power it has to explain what we know and see.”

For more inspiration like that, I encourage you to check out The Reason for God by Timothy Keller today. In today’s world, we need a stronger faith, and this book will show you how to get it..
