Review of Double Your Dating
For guys who have heard about this book and would like to learn more, here’s a short overview of the things I liked so you can decide if it is for you!
David DeAngelo’s book covers a lot of topics, but the ones I found most interesting were:
- being yourself
- differences between the sexes
- dispelling myths and misconceptions
Should you just being yourself?
Being yourself is not what is important, instead the author teaches men that they need to be the best self. Most guys who are just “themselves” suck at getting women, that is why it is important to first learn how to be attractive to women. So you need to stop being yourself for a while and learn how to get girls, then make that be your true self!
What are the differences in the gender roles between the sexes?
In the Double Your Dating book, the reader is told that men are totally confused by society and that men and women differ in terms of gender roles. The media with it’s TV shows and movies have brainwashed men in our society. They for some reason think they need to be wussy dudes to get women. This is where things take a wrong turn and problems begin to surface. Girls and women in general like men who demonstrate characteristics of a man. But since a lot of guys are confused now they act like women. That’s a big part of the reason as to why some guys don’t get women, because they don’t act like a man, but instead act like women!
Misconceptions dispelled
Society has given the impression to men that in order to get women they need to be either, tall, handsome, rich or powerful. This is not the case. The reason for this is because having these qualities in your personality shows women that men with these elements have a high social standing. Having materialist objects is not a requirement to show that you have a high social status. DeAngelo gives you great advice on how to make these qualities part of your personality so that you also can get women without being rich or famous!
My conclusion
