How To Make Money By Writing On The Web
People who understand online marketing know that it can be a great revenue source if you are willing to put their shoulders to the wheel and work. It can also make a big difference if you can also integrate your passion. In my case, that means I use my writing expertise to generate income.
One of the ways I make money writing is pretty simple to replicate, once you get the hang of it. I make money with Hub Pages. In case you do not know what that is, HubPages is a community blogging platform that allows you to earn ad revenue from your content. Each hub (AKA web page) is configured to yield five different kinds of earnings: Google AdSense ads, Kontera ads, eBay links, Amazon links and links to affiliate programs. As the content’s creator, 60 percent of the page views that generate revenue go to you. HubPages gets the other forty percent. The exceptions to this rule, though, are affiliate programs, because all the earnings resulting from clicks on affiliate links belongs to the authors. It takes a while to learn how to create good, money-making hubs but the revenue potential is worth it.
One of the affiliate programs I link to on my hubs is TweetAdder, which is automated Twitter marketing. It once was unfashionable in the Internet marketing inner circle to use Twitter, but I suspect that will change because of in the way Google sees Twitter. Twitter tweets are indexed now by Google, which causes them to appear in search rankings. They’re susceptible to freshness, but they can help you get a hot topic ranked in Google very quickly if you have decent PageRank on your Twitter page. Even more significant is Google’s new social program that people can opt into: by listing all your blogs and social media affiliations in your Google profile, your links will be shown on page one of the Google search results when someone in your online social circle does a search for a keyword that you have optimized for on your blogs and sites. It is still a new program, but it could potentially make business networking sites an accepted form of traffic generation.
I take advantage of these gifts from Google by using TweetAdder to post tweets to Twitter all day long. To stoke the automated software with tweets, I just upload a text document with hundreds of short posts in it that have bit.ly links to my pages. They are then posted at whatever rate I set it at. It also allows me to generate more Twitter followers, if I choose to add more, and perform other tasks, such as sending direct messages to welcome new followers, unfollowing followers and other essential tasks. I really enjoy TweetAdder, because not only does it help me have an active account on Twitter with only a few moments of effort each day, but it also garners affiliate revenue whenever someone clicks through from my TweetAdder review and purchases it. It is wonderful when you can generate income off a product you use and like.
