Relationships are emotionally dreadful.   It may all seem nice and happy until the initial kissing and making up.  Then the same old stories keep happening.  If you are given a second chance, the  you are really lucky and success may be yours.

If you lose love, you can find another.  But if you lose respect, you cannot get it back.  You have to remember a few things before you contact your love.  Establish the good things and nice qualities you like in the person when you first met them.  Then take it from there, be respectful and learn to appreciate.

Before you blame the other person, take a peek into your own heart. In your head go through the whole break up situation and think of how you could have stopped it.

When we are hurt, we tend to become a bit selfish. That’s fine.  Despite everything if you still want to get back together, show genuine interest and concern to him or her.  Make them understand that you value their likes, dreams and goals in life. Further, you also have to see if they have changed since then.

In no way are you compelled to act on the advice of others, but sometimes our friends and family sees things from a better perspective than we do. Ask someone close to you to lift out your less pleasant traits and the things they think you could improve on in order to better your relationship.

In the long run, getting together is winning only half the battle.  You may be happy, but to keep it going the way it is the other half of the battle.  Your constant attention, love and care is required to make the relationship successful and complete.
